New to AntiX…..

…..but not to Linux.

I’m using Linux since 2007 when Ubuntu 7.04 was released as replacement for Windows 95 and the never ending story of malware, spyware, trojans, viruses, after 3-months reinstalling Windows due to all sort of issues…. Never turned back to Windows.

I have a fairly heavy laptop myself (Intel i&, 16 GiB RAM, hybrid system Intel/nVidia, SSD+HDD drive) running Linux Mint, but my daughter uses an fairly old laptop (+/- 8 years old) which has some difficulties running the latest distro’s even with the most lightweight desktop environment.

I’m from The Netherlands btw., having a job in Construction (oil/gas/chemical/petrochemical), working for a worldwide operating engineering company.

Hope i can get the help here when installing AntiX on my daugther’s laptop.

Howdy and Welcome. I think I recognize you from posts in Mint forums. Which I see you mentioned. I kinda dropped Mint at ver 5 or so after they dropped the Fluxbox edition.

Back then. I was baby steppin using Linux. Now I just run around like a 2 year old. 😉
