      The Empire State now requires you to obtain a ‘Stargazing Permit‘ before you go checking out the night sky, howling at the moon, or whatever. You will also require a fee of $35.00, $60 – Out of State – Vehicle Registration and Driver’s License.

      Why on earth you require a driving license and vehicle registration to look at the sky is not explained. Obviously cyclists, horse riders and pedestrians need not apply.

      So if you want to go after dark to look at stars on state land that you paid for through your tax dollars, you have to pay the government more money for a permit.

        Typical of democratic government. Large number of stupid regulations, permits, skyrocketing tolls for roads and bridges, high taxes, etc… Democratic run states are creative at squeezing more money from hard working people and further restricting freedoms…
