::You are booting in uefi mode.I found this information about the mac book 7.1
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/MacBookPro7,1#Nvidia
https://askubuntu.com/questions/264247/proprietary-nvidia-drivers-with-efi-on-mac-to-prevent-overheating/613573#613573
but there is always mentioned a black screen after nvidia installation, which is here not the case.Just to rule it out, did you use bootparamaters like failsafe ore savevideo to get the live stick to boot, before the installation of antiX?
Before you installed the driver from control-centre, did you try to install it in another way?- This reply was modified 1 year, 5 months ago by caprea.

::The touchy forum software didn’t like the second link and decided to say it’s spam, sorry.
I would guess there are leftovers from the first nvidia installation with smxi.
I am currently not familiar with the procedure for smxi to remove a driver again.but before a driver is reinstalled the old must first be removed completely.November 13, 2021 at 2:52 am #70850Memberblackwood
::I suspect the driver installation i did from smxi is still there even after reinstalling antix, not sure how to proceed now with the black screenn.. i can still ssh into it, any idea what to do?

::If a reinstallation is OK for you , it’s the best way to go, I think.
Then please first try to install the nvidia driver with the software from control-centre.
Afterwards post the output from
inxi -GxxxOur answers have overlapped in time.
Do I understand correctly , after the installation with smxi you have already reinstalled ?- This reply was modified 1 year, 5 months ago by caprea.

::yes i’m reinstalling no problem
(btw, i read on smxi that my driver isnt supported after kernel 5.4, that’s why im using kernel 4.9)

::I just found this and it says the nvidia-legacy driver 340 is not available anymore in Bullseye.
I am afraid that is true
