      I create my own launcher in usr/share/applications. The icons appear only in the folder but on menu is not set. Any help is appreciate. Thanks in advance!
      I already went to control center to show applications and refresh the menu and nothing! Only my icons disappeared (not offical)

        To achieve a “as seen in Unity desktop” icon-centric menu, you could compile and install “xlunch”
        http://xlunch.org/
        https://github.com/Tomas-M/xlunch
        or
        “nwg-launchers”, described here:
        https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/icewm-light-rebonito/

        note:
        .desktop launchers reside in multiple directories ~~ most notably /usr/share/applications/antix/ (and ~/.local/share/applications) ~~ and the “iconic menu” programs may not check these other directories.

          at time to compile is missing file like “imlib2.h”
          ha! now I remove the comments and show another error:

          xlunch.c:2771:21: error: unknown type name ‘Imlib_Font’
                               Imlib_Font font = load_prompt_font();

          after upgrade my own icons disapeared!

            Tomas provides suitable instructions right on the xlunch page at github
            but
            the instructions aren’t noticeable until you scroll down…

            https://github.com/Tomas-M/xlunch

            For Ubuntu and other Debian-based distros, do:

            sudo apt install libimlib2-dev libx11-dev

              while xlunch is running, it covers the root window (aka “desktop”)

              Guess what ~~ when I tested xlunch, I fell into this same trap!

              You can press Ctrl+Alt+F6 to momentrily change to an alternative virtual console
              then (login and) run: killall xlunch
              then Ctrl+Alt+F7 to return to viewing your ongoing desktop session

              .
              .
              read read read the xlunch manpage.
              It has many configurable options.
              Unless you are setting up a kiosk environment for someone, you will probably want to avoid the
              “oops, I’m blocked from seeing my normal desktop” result.

              You will want use a custom launch string like
              xlunch -b -r -z
              (that’s just a made-up example, i don’t have it in front of me)
              instead of plain old “xlunch”

                Hello @ angel7,

                Do you want the two shortcut icons in the usr/share/applications folder to be displayed in the menus/submenu in their respective categories? If I understand correctly the translation of your words to pt-BR I think it is with the command in the terminal:

                $ sudo desktop-menu –write-out-global

                As was taught in some topics, such as the Trash/Recycling.

                If not, please disregard what I wrote.

                Olá @angel7,

                Por acaso você quer que os dois ícones de atalho que estão na pasta usr/share/applications, sejam exibidos nos menus/submenu em suas respectivas categorias? Se eu entendi corretamente a tradução das suas palavras para pt-BR eu acho que é com o comando no terminal:

                $ sudo desktop-menu –write-out-global

                Como foi ensinado em alguns tópicos, como por exemplo no tópico da Lixeira/Reciclagem.

                Se não for nada disso, por favor desconsidere o que eu escrevi.
