I wanted to change my desktop background to being just solid black. Normally, I would achieve this in Debian via changing the desktop background to a solid color, then selecting black for being that color. But, I haven’t found any way to set the Antix desktop background to being a solid color instead of a picture. So, my work-around was to create a .PNG picture that’s just black, then select that picture as my desktop background wallpaper photo. Placing it in my /home directory made it easy to find… I’m attaching a copy of my wallpaper, in case others might want to use it.

If you are using SpaceFM/zzzFM to manage your desktop, you can make the change via the file manager under View > Preferences > Desktop.
If you are not using any desktop, but a plain window manager, use Wallpaper app.
If using rox pinboard (default), you have to do what you did.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Thank you for the advice. I tested it, and it worked like a charm. I simply wasn’t expecting it to be tucked away in a sub-menu like that; i.e., it wasn’t where I expected it to be. But, it works!
