Greetings, update Antix 21 and the laptop is left without emitting sounds in any application. Has anyone else had something similar happen? Does anyone know any solution?

        More information needed.
I haven’t had any sound issues with any antiX-21 upgrades.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Excuse me, what kind of information do you need? I’m going to check the laptop again, as a precaution and I’ll tell you. Thanks.

            Hi!

Firstly, which version of antiX are you using?
            What got upgraded?
Are you using antiX as it was shipped or have you added any apps related to sound eg pulseausio?
            Which browser are you using?
Which audio/video player are you using?
Have you made any changes to the defaults?
Are you sure it was the upgrade that caused sound to be lost?
Have you checked that sound isn’t muted?
            etc etc etc.

Greetings again, I checked the sound with antix 21 booting it from a flash drive and the sound works fine. I say it could be an update because I haven’t installed any other sound-related programs. Previously the laptop did emit sounds in any application.

                  alsamixer shows Master as muted.

Press ‘m’ on Master to unmute

Thank you very much. I’m ashamed. Excuse my ignorance and if it causes you any inconvenience. It was that. Thanks again and sorry.

                      No need to apologise.
