      Hi All.
Apologies if this is a double post in any way.
I searched for wajig and couldn’t find any reference to it in the forums.

I can’t install wajig either through apt, apt-get, or using the python installer method.

I think it is a fairly standard debian package

It’s a great utility, and I’m missing it.
Is there a recommended way to install this in antix through standard repos etc?
      Thanks for any assistance (:

Looks like there’s no version for bullseye/stable in the repos

          On sid.
          sudo apt -s install wajig

          aptitude aptitude-common libboost-iostreams1.74.0 libcwidget4
          python3-fuzzywuzzy python3-levenshtein
          Vorgeschlagene Pakete:
          apt-xapian-index aptitude-doc-en | aptitude-doc debtags tasksel
          libcwidget-dev reportbug apt-move dpkg-repack alien fakeroot apt-file
          debsums chkconfig
Die folgenden NEUEN Pakete werden installiert:
          aptitude aptitude-common libboost-iostreams1.74.0 libcwidget4
          python3-fuzzywuzzy python3-levenshtein wajig

Everyone to their taste, having taken a look at the extra bloat wajig
installation entails and to me nonsensicle wajig apt substitute commands
          like
          wajig install package-name
more clear or efficient where, apt has three letters to type.
          apt install packagename

          wajig distupgrade
          apt dist-upgrade

With a bash alias I type in upg = sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade
          upd for a normal upgrade.
          etc.

I personaly see no point in installing.

            Hi caprea and Xunzi_23.
I appreciate both your inputs and information!
            Thank you.

My taste is to avoid bloat – where my ignorance and time allows it.
I realise wajig is a bloated pythonic “extension” or repackaging of apt commands.

However – for simple minds like me – there are certain simple commands like “wajig large” which list user-installed packages in order of their size (that is something that helps me analyse and trim installed package bloat) – where apt will list all libs and much unwanted information etc. in a format which is not so easy to undehrstand… and requires many switches, formatting, and probably some more understanding of grep etc. to necessarily get desired information.

Still, it may be against the ethos of antix, and I understand that I guess.
I’m sure I can find alternatives.

More suggestions very welcome if you have them.
            Thanks.
