      I installed antiX 19.3 (full–32 bit) on my Dell Latitude D610 laptop. It appears to be working fine.
      The internet works well with the ethernet cable.
      However, I cannot get the wireless to work with neither Connman nor Ceni (it previously automatically worked with antiX 17).
      When I do the switch to Connman, I get a message that “no WLAN entries found in etc/network/interfaces”
      Connmand gui only show the wired ethernet–no wireless.
      rfkill list shows “wireless LAN is hard blocked”

        Did you see my last post in your other thread
        https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/laptop-wont-boot-up/page/3/#post-47051

        I remember other members having problems with connman and the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG [Calexico2]
        but on the other hand there have been members who didn’t notice any problem at all.

          @ caprea

          Yes, I read your post and watched the video.
          With antiX 17, both ceni and wicd detected the wireless without any problems.
          It is odd how these problems develop with changes in the system.
          Thanks for that.

            Please, when you have time, also give us the output of
            rfkill list wifi
            and
            dmesg | grep -i "ipw2200\|eth1"

            The problem with this device is that its interface is named “eth1” instead of “wlan0”, which makes it a bit difficult to manage.
            Probably the wifi-switch program will not work properly, but try again to use the wifi-switch program to switch to connman, and when it tells you “no wlan entries were found. Edit anyway?” say yes, you want to edit /etc/network/interfaces.
            In the cmst (connman) interface, try unlocking all wireless or eth1 options, and see if it can scan for networks.

                Thanks. Try to run in terminal:
                rfkill unblock wifi
                wait for a few seconds, and see if
                rfkill list wifi
                has changed at all. If it hasn’t, then you need to see (if available) that pressing the wifi hardware button on the laptop (could be a key combination) doesn’t also change the output of rfkill.

                    Success!
                    I found the blue Fn key and the F2 key (which has a symbol of a blue antenna) and press them both. I did another rfkill list which show no blocks.
                    Connman now shows the wifi data and scans for local signal. I connected to our signal and disconnected the ethernet cable. The Wifi now works fine.
                    Will it just work now when I start the computer or do I need to make any changes in the connman settings eg auto start?

                      EDIT: ignore this post. I was writing it when you found the solution. I will answer the question in the next reply.

                      All interfaces of connman (in antiX full cmst, in antiX base, connman-ui) are connumicating with the real connman service conmanctl

                      If you launch in terminal
                      connmanctl
                      You will see that the terminal input has changed. Inside that change, see what
                      technologies
                      outputs. It should tell you all detected interfaces and if they are on/off.
                      For wlanX interfaces, it usually identifies them as “wifi”. We need to know how it identifies your eth1 interface.

                      Let us imagine that it identifies it as “wifi”

                      /net/connman/technology/wifi
                        Name = Wifi
                        Type = wifi
                        Powered = False

                      We need to enable it
                      enable wifi
                      and check technologies again

                      /net/connman/technology/wifi
                        Name = Wifi
                        Type = wifi
                        Powered = True
                        Connected = False

                      To make sure it can scan, you run
                      scan wifi
                      If it spits out an error, lets try restarting connman. Exit connmanctl with
                      quit
                      and restart connman service
                      sudo service restart connman

                      Then again enter connmanctl and scan again

                      connmanctl
                      > scan wifi

                      If everything goes well, you will see that scan was a success, and see your wireless connections with
                      services

                      If it is there, exit connmanctl with quit and try to use the connman gui to connect to your wireless AP.

                      If there is no wifi option, paste the connmanctl technologies output so we may see.

                        It should work out of the box on the next reboot. If it doesn’t, we will have to see if this is related to a setting in the BIOS, but I think that your problems should be solved.

                        Sorry for my previous long reply

                            Hi all for sake of any other users reading through this thread,

                            rfkill list shows “wireless LAN is hard blocked”
                            Hard Blocked usualy means either a switch or a key combination incorporated for
                            compliance with IATA Regulations is set to off.

                            The regulations have been relaxed over last years so newer devices now usually soft block.
                            wifi switched off. RF Kill can unlock that, it can not of course unlock the first variant
                            a physical switch. On some devices the switch is recessed and not always obvious.
                            Change came with smartphones which with few exceptions have no hard lock.

                            IATA International Air Transport Association.

                              @ greyowl, a handbook for your device is available at dell website.
                              Would have informed about the wifi switching.
