Yes! Besides being annoying by offering the automatic notifications. This forum is looking like news and advertisement sites.
Are cookies and notifications really necessary here?

        – – – – –

Sim! Além de ficar incomodando oferecendo as notificações automáticas. Este fórum está se parecendo com sítios de notícias e propagandas.
Os “cookies” e as “notificações” são realmente necessárias aqui?

From what I understand about European Union law, yes they are.
The forum has always used cookies, but users were not consulted (unless they read the Privacy policy).

            Worrying subject…

Some guidelines are easily found, details of others others such as regulations regarding youth
and parental consent, transfer of personal data to USA, less so. An IP Adress is personal data as is any E Mail adress.
Collecting or transfer of any other information or combination which can serve to individualy
identify a user is also not allowed under that regulation.
There is also a construct called safe harbour which allows limited data transfer under special rules.

            Gives some reliable basic information.

Right to know who can access data and what they organisation accessing data does with it.
Right to demand a summary of all information held, Right to be forgotten are also of importance.

My information is that parental consent to any transfer of personal information to US is required
            for under 16 year olds.

            All above is important because.

What about automatic notifications, are they really necessary?
