      I’m using Antix 17 with ICEWM/Rox. How can I set it up to open all windows centered on my monitor. This is the code I use when I am in Openbox in my rc file..

          <application type="normal">
            <position>
              <x>center</x>
              <y>center</y>
            </position>
          </application>

      Would this work in my icewm pref file or do I have to do something else?

        I don’t think icewm has that capability. I could be wrong.

        fluxbox does IIRC.

          I really like icewm. I guess I can use Fluxbox which I think remembers where the window is positioned or is there something I have to put in the preferences so that it automatically centers every window?

            You might find something in the preferences file here.

            icewm-preferences

            eg

            #  Center large windows
            # CenterLarge=0 # 0/1

            Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

            antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

              I usually use the “remember” settings (right click on the left side of a window title bar I think) to keep the windows where I want them.
