      Hey everyone,

I installed the VeraCrypt encryption software package via

      [sudo] bash veracrypt-1.24-Update4-setup-gui-x64

      i. e. without any package manager.

The installation succeeded but I don’t find the VC icon.

PS.: While installing the same package on LX Mint 19.3, the icon is being automatically set in the menu.

Any ideas where it could be?

Sry, my antiX version is 19.1 (x64). Forgotten that.

I installed the Debian10 gui deb from

          https://www.veracrypt.fr/en/Downloads.html

and it put the icon under Applications > Accessories

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

            Thx for the hint anticapitalista.

I’ll take one more look, maybe I just missed it.

I’ve checked it up now. As I’ve mentioned before, the icon doesn’t appear there.
I deinstalled the generic package using VC’s uninstall.sh.
Then trying to install v1.24 (Debian 10) via gdebi gui (as non-su), nothing happened obviously. By using gdebi in a root terminal, the installation worked, but again without any icon showing up in the menu (although the VC pixmap file has been properly installed). But VC was accessible via the ‘App Select’ menu entry.
So, I used the Personal Menu Editor (menu: Applications -> antiX) to set the VC icon in the ‘Personal’ menu section. That’s acceptable now.
