Why Package Installer uses my ~ folder for storing downloaded packages?

Also, I had ticked Falkon, Tor Browser Launcher and Waterfox Classic but they appear unticked.

Package Installer in general seems buggy to me.
Sometimes it doesn’t respond at all to pressing the ‘Install’ button.
Sometimes after pressing ‘Install’, Package Installer’s windows doesn’t redraw itself for long time.
I have tried to install pcmanfm three times, Package Installer took on the task but I still don’t have pcmanfm.

Probably, my feeble rural mobile internet connection has to do with some of its glitches, but not with all of them.

I’d say for all of them.

Since your Internet is unreliable (‘feeble’), install apps one at a time.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

          1. What about slimjet_amd64.deb and slimjet_amd64.deb.1 owned by root:root in my home folder?
          2. I’ve never encountered Synaptic unticking entries ticked by me
          3. Window redraw should not depend on internet connection
