      Hello,
When I want to install camorama or ekiga or some other packages I always get an error ‘package … not found’. How can I solve this problem do I have to add other libraries and if so, which do I have to install and how must I do this.

      Thx for the help

It seems those packages are no longer included in debian Buster (Debian 10, current stable, antiX 19):
You will be able to see that they are only available in stretch (debian 9, oldstable, antiX 17) and Sid:
        https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&keywords=camorama
        https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&keywords=ekiga

They have probably been replaced with other software.
You could try downloading and installing the .deb linked for stretch and see if it works on your system.

Might help. Might not. Other choices besides what I am showing. I do word search all the time, then experiment with the App.

            harry@biker:~
            $ apt search photo
            Sorting... Done
            Full Text Search... Done
            aaphoto/stable 0.45-1 amd64
Auto Adjust Photo, automatic color correction of photos

aaphot is probably not what you are looking for. I learned that internet searching the application. This is how I roll when I wanna learn and use something new.

              Or

              link

might help. One can always change my search terms.

              Like so:

              Link

Hmm. Figured I would suggest Jitsi instead of Ekiga. But apt search did not list that either.

Hmm. Take my above post about jitsi with a grain 0of salt. Let me try and install that first in my laptop to see if it works.

Lots of jre stuff I see being pulled in. I set my host name as shop_computer and let them self generate a meet certificate. While installing.

Now why I said grain of salt.

Took me awhile to get back to this state.

                  harry@biker:~

Had to use autoremove option in apt to get rid of 300MB of files. Before I lost the dpkg error 1. So stay away from Jitsi, I guess.

Are you using a sip provider account/url?
That is why you need ekiga?

Maybe linphone will meet your needs. It is in synaptic package manager. I have not tried that yet. Too late in the day for me to experiment with this.
