::Hi.
output:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/bin/desktop-menu", line 29, in <module> import xdg.Menu ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'xdg'restart the system and nothing
That is strange. Did you install antiX from core or did you remove some packages?
Try installing these packages:
sudo apt install xdg-utils python-xdgand then run the command again.

::My experience is that updating the menu worked out of the box with both full and base.
See if caprea’s suggestion worked.
Did you enable or added any other repositories to your system? The default buster repos are OK, but the testing ones may replace some functionality.antiX Live system enthusiast.

::Sounds like something familiar, please open control center bottom tab, you will find menu manager.
You will need to select the menu, depending on what you installed applicationss or personal.Click show items button. Likely the applications will be marked not set or not shown. Select items
to show, if you hold control key multiple selection is possible. click ok. Be patient Process is slow.December 29, 2020 at 8:11 pm #48448Anonymous

::2 options I think depending on which version of the menu script you are using. You will need
1.) python-xdg, xdg-utils (old version)
2.) python3-xdg xdg-utils python-gi(gtk3) and python3 (new version)It sounds like installing a program or updating caused a dependency issue / half install. It may help to post the /var/log/apt/history.log file with the inxi command Xecure posted about. Seeing how you are planning on trying the base version hopefully you will have better luck with it.
