::@Xecure – any luck with connman 1.39 or 1.40?
A few months ago I built connman 1.39 based on the configuration used in Debian experimental, but haven’t touched it since then. One of the changes is the need to separate the packages in a way that now you need to install both connman + connman-iptables or connman + nftables.
I will have a look and see if I can find the original debian configuration and try building it properly with patches and such, now that I understand how it works better than when I first did them.

::@ Xecure:
I am sure you have this intel by now – Connman 1.40 has been released as of June 2021:
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=ConnMan-1.40-IWD-1.15
Quote:
ConnMan 1.40 also released this week with a variety of fixes. Among those fixes for this Linux network connection manager are for handling of the WiFi disconnecting status and an issue with the handling of WiFi auto-connect when using IWD. There is also a fix for a possible stack-based buffer overflow attack.
End-Quote…
Just to mention, I have tested CMST 2021 and using currently and I think this version of CMST should work with Connman 1.40 nicely.
Any improvements in Connman would be appreciated…- This reply was modified 1 year, 6 months ago by olsztyn.

::I managed to build connman 1.40 debs on antiX-21 (edit and on antiX-19) – just need to test before making them available for others to test.
Probably tomorrow.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

Probably tomorrow.I was just about to report the same. I will wait to see how you solved the issues I had problems with. I had to add some extra options in rules to copy the /debian/local/ contents so that they would install for both the iptables and nftables versions. And add a missing dependency to control.

similar here – It is late so I’ll check it all tomorrow.

::CMST (version 2021.11.15-1)
Changes:
– Updated translations from upstream.
– Some of the original strings have changed, so some languages may have translation regressions.
– Some parts of the code have moved around, but it should work the same as before. Please test it works the sameDownload:
– From gitlab
– From Google drive (in case gitlab doesn’t work).Note:
Because some parts have changed, the cmst program may be a bit unstable (but that is my own speculation). Please test and, if in two weeks there are no regression reports, I will ask anticapitalista to update the package in the repos.Thanks for your time.

::Great job – having an essential package, as the network manager localized is very important for an OS, to ensure it can be used all over the world.
It seems to work great on my laptop.
There are a few minor problems with the pt localization, that I’ll try to fixEDIT: I had a major brain freeze- were can I go to help translate cmts?

::I didn’t include the pt translations in this release because only 5 strings have been translated. I reused the pt_BR strings for pt, as marcelo has translated them all from English to pt-BR.
cmst is being translated by the lxqt community here: https://translate.lxqt-project.org/projects/andrew-bibb/cmst/
It seems you also need a special program named QT Linguist, as was mentioned in this issue: https://github.com/andrew-bibb/cmst/issues/245#issuecomment-964677520antiX Live system enthusiast.

::Unfortunately, Andrew-Bibb didn’t answer my questions about what should or shouldn’t be translated, for example, entries that have joined texts, that is, texts without spaces, as in:
WireGuard.Address
VPNC.DeviceType
WireGuard.AllowedIPsI consider the pt_BR translation incomplete in this sense, as I translated everything I could understand from the machine translations, but it could be that I translated commands or command parameters that shouldn’t be translated. There are no comments in the program, so it’s hard to guess what can and can’t be translated. I consulted other languages and I saw that some were translated and most of these sentences with texts together without spaces were not translated.
Thanks Xecure, for making new packages available for testing, as soon as possible I’ll return with the test results I’m going to do.
