There are some sites that Pale Moon will not work with, because Pale Moon does not have a full implementation of Google’s WebComponents. For those sites you will need to use a different browser. Librewolf would be a good choice.

This is a generically very good advice. But unfortunately LW is not currently built for the 32 bits arch… In those cases, stick with firefox-esr, seamonkey or firefox. You can also try some other browsers that have 32bits versions (I sometimes use an old Min browser version, the last one created for 32bits- it’s some 2 years old, so also very unsecure, but usually very fast). There are several forum threads about the subject…

Good point. If you would like to try a 32-bit browser that’s basically the same as Librewolf, you can try the Trisquel distro’s “Abrowser”: https://mirror.math.princeton.edu/pub/trisquel-packages/pool/main/f/firefox/abrowser_107.0+build2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1+9.0trisquel93_i386.deb

It should install fine on any recent version of 32-bit antiX. It is built with the configuration of the “GNU Icecat” browser, which eliminates telemetry and most other privacy and security issues in Firefox. Abrowser is kept up-to-date, unlike Icecat. You can find the latest i386 versions a few days after new Firefox versions are released here: https://mirror.math.princeton.edu/pub/trisquel-packages/pool/main/f/firefox/?C=M;O=D

Abrowser does not allow for DRM to be enabled [digital rights media], so you won’t be able to play things that need proprietary DRM like Netflix. If you want to play Netflix, you’ll want to use Firefox or a chromium-based browser.

@andyprough, thanks for pointing to abrowser.

Firefox ESR is not good privacy wise as delivered but pretty easy to improve, it works well for students
who must have DRM enabled at times and some video conference software. Banks and majority of other sites
              accept it.

ESR accepts Userchrome scripts, with that, plus arkenfox user.js which should be regarded as a starting point
plus ublock origin it is good to very good. Please see some comments from Security Specialist Kuketz at Ghacks,
or other serious reviews if wished.

I recommend to remove the hidden extensions and disable pingsender etc, howto posted several times so will not
              repeat.

Thanks for your replies, but Palemoon worked properly with this site before upgrading to 31.4.0 (32-bit) version. I’ve checked it with a different laptop. No problems with 31.2.0.1 version, but the problem appeared again after the upgrade.

There is a point release, 31.4.1, to fix errors on some systems. You should probably try it, see if it helps: https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=home%3Astevenpusser&package=palemoon

                    Thank you andyprough, good info.
just directly downloaded and installed the point release.

For new users a deb can be installed by entering
sudo apt install in to the terminal then drag and drop package or packages from download
location in to the teminal window.
The path to packages will be automagicaly entered. Press enter follow messages to finish install.

New packages installed with apt will (with few exceptions) automagicaly get a menu entry.

Those installed using the antiX package installer will also update when new versions are in repos.
Updates becoming available can take several days. Longer for backported applications.

There are two options: Debian & Ubuntu. Should I choose the Debian one?

Drag and drop doesn’t seem to work with urxvt. I tried copy-paste, but:

                          $ sudo apt install palemoon_31.4.1-1.gtk2_i386.deb

You have to tell apt that the deb file is in your present working directory with a “./”, like so:
                            sudo apt install ./palemoon_31.4.1-1.gtk2_i386.deb

                              sudo apt install ./palemoon_31.4.1-1.gtk2_i386.deb

This worked, many thanks. I installed the Package for Debian 11 but, unfortunately, the problem about I wrote in my initial post still remains.

Yes as I said, Pale Moon will not work with every website. Google has introduced new web technologies that some sites use that Pale Moon does not have any code to handle.

But, Palemoon 31.2.0.1 didn’t seem to have any problem to handle whatever this site uses.
