    1. Priority is to have the keyboard and touchpad work after grub or efi grub menu. Antix 17 is the first one to work most of the time. I’d like to be able to use the text menu. Keyboard is controlled by PNP0501 and is i2C and hid? (NOT USB NOR PS/2)
    2. Another problem is sound. As in none.

These ran UEFI W 8.1….actually not bad for school kids. Two batteries, one for the keyboard section and one for the tablet. Works pretty slick with MX-16 or antiX in VM.

it’s 32-bit, however a friend booted to MX-16 64-bit legacy. (with keyboard function) There is no choice for legacy per se in the bios.

Control Center PCInfo says it’s 32 bit os and 64 bit cpu.

I got the wireless working https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=43192&

I’d really like to sort the keyboard and carry on from there.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    A quick update.
    I have run the E3 on antiX17 live (64bit) and MX16 (64bit) Because esp requires 64 bit.

Last night I installed antiX17. This after adding bootia32.efi to where shell can see it in the case of antiX17. (/EFI/Boot/bootia32.efi)

    antiX17 boots to grub>

Run five or six lines in grub> and the hdd will boot. (/dev/mmcblk1p2)

Keyboard doesn’t always work but I can get to the installed antiX17.

    1. Supergrub rescue disk will not boot.
    2. Sudo update-grub seems to work normally but on re-boot again goes to grub>

    So it kinda works.

In grub should I be pointing it at the fat partition? /dev/mmcblk1p1 ???? EDIT: Nope.
I’m wondering if the long (9 character device name is messing with the FAT portion) Boot repair tries to fix /dev/mmcblk11….dropping the p. Should be mmcblk1p1 which is where esp lives.

    Thanks,

    😀
