::Thanks for the inxi -r report. Nothing really wrong there there except I’d comment out the backports line entry to turn it off during updates.
Appreciate other members input on this because I was getting stumped seeing nothing wrong and rfkill was not on my radar because of problem description problems because of language is what I figure. Thanks folks.

::I cant reply with the results of the ping and /sbin/ifconfig because when I try to reply I get redirected to another webpage where it says this:

::I really dont know what I should be seen here. It is really not a big deal I just saw a dlink dwa-645 for real cheap maybe that gives less trouble (and it is 3 times faster) if nothing works. I’d like to get this card to work because I feel that it is ‘fair’??? not sure how to explain it, it just feels right trying as much as I can.
ping keeps going so I stopped it at some point, I bet nothing seems wrong but I tried apt update again and same errors. Maybe, just maybe could it be that my wifi is wpa2 and this card is wpa and web only? Not sure if that would matter tho Im just brainstorming a bit
I will try to see how to switch to ceni tomorrow. I appreciate your efforts guys 🙂
(Hopefully it gets send now Im just erasing the code lines of the message to see what does it, I’ll try to send them as images)Attachments:

::I wonder if you could get a USB WiFi with a little antenna on it like I have for my P II? It wasn’t expensive.

::I switched to ceni but when I tried to connect I got this result:
No DHCPOFFERS received. No working leases in persistent database - sleeping. /bin/run-parts --exit-on-error --verbose /etc/network/if-up.d run-parts: executing /etc/network/if-up.d/000resolvconf run-parts: executing /etc/network/if-up.d/mountnfs run-parts: executing /etc/network/if-up.d/openvpn run-parts: executing /etc/network/if-up.d/wpasupplicant Press Enter key to continue ...I tried two usb wifi antennas, they are detected when I do inxi -zv7 but they are not shown in connman nor ceni. Neither by the usb 1.1 ports of the laptop nor by the pcmcia usb 2.0 card. I ordered a pcmcia conceptronic c300rc.

::Alrighty! I got some updates, some bad news and some good news.
Bad news: I couldnt manage to make the DLink pcmcia wifi card to work at all.
Good news: The conceptronic c300rc pcmcia wifi card just arrived. It is working nicely so far. sudo apt update worked, dillo works, it is currently upgrading.
I believe the old card could not connect to a wpa2 network. Now this new one came sealed with 3 year warranty, 802.11n fully compatible and wps (which idk what that means but I bet the old card doesnt have that). Really nice speeds too, Antix being so lightweight leaves room for browsing AND I could even watch some youtube videos. Yes in 360p but no frame loss nor bad audio. It was plug&play instantly recognised. Now I have a fully operational system 🙂April 20, 2022 at 12:16 pm #81818ModeratorBobC
::Good job. I’m glad you found a way to make it work reliably. Please mark your thread solved (change the subject line on the first post)
Thanks 🙂
