Hi. I have created a new user, and I have problems of permissiones in the assembly of partitions, it is left with the permissions of the user demo. How do I change the demo permission for the new user I created? Greetings. Thank you.

::If I correctly understand your goal: set per-user mount permissions (different permissions for “NewUser” vs “demo”)
a websearch “linux user permissions mount”, in your native language, should lead to clear guidance regarding usergroup setup and rights assignment.January 16, 2018 at 10:15 am #5292Memberclickbr
::no, you are not understanding me I have created a new user, I enter the login of the new user and I add the partitions, when mounting, it continues to mount with the user’s permission demo instead of the new user. The correct way would be to assemble correctly with the user’s permission to which I am logging. This is a bug that the system has, for sure.

::We need more information.
How did you set up new user? Since you mention demo user, are you running live?
How did you ‘add the partitions’??- This reply was modified 5 years, 3 months ago by anticapitalista.

::1- antix control center > Maintenance > User Manager > Add User > fill in the fields
2- it is not installed, but in live usb it behaves in the same way
3- With gparted normally
It is interesting that the partitions were set per terminal, the permissions work normally, but they are mounted with spacefm, the permissions are left with the user’s permission.
In other distributions such as debian live, the same partitions work correctly the permissiones.- This reply was modified 5 years, 3 months ago by clickbr.

::I do not know if I’m true, per spacefm uses pmount or udisksctl to mount as partitions. It may be that these commands are not correctly assigning permissions to assembly with other types of users.

::I don’t understand.
You created the partitions? Do you mean new partitions? If so ext3/4 or what?
Were you in new user desktop when you created these partitions or demo user?Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

::they are not very old partitions of an external hd that I have for backups and use ext3 format. No, these partitions from hd I always use them with other distros normally.

::I can change the permissions to the new user via terminal as root with the chown command, but ideally spacefm will mount correctly with the given permissions.

::the impression that I have is that spacefm itself within a new user, continues working with the permissions of the demo user.

::I’m running frugal/live, just created a new user and from rox-filer I get these as demo user and antiX user when I plug in a usb device. ie permissions are correct.

::up there all right, try to get inside the usb and verify the permissions. You will see that they are like demo. The problem of permits is when you enter the usb device.
