Hi,
With Antrix indtalled on USB selecting the persistant_all (and certainly other persistant) option does not allow to select the same USB Drive as destination space to store the persistant data.
The USB has its autogenerated partitions to which de Can not select it as destination.
As I do not want to store it anywhere else could somebody explain how to get it on this Live USB ?
The first partition is a Fat where there id no more available space available and the second one is used on fly by the Antrix itself. Then it show thé Fat as unselectable partition due to lack of Space and the other one is not shown as selectable.
Sincerely thank you for the detailed answers.

::Unfortunately, I don’t understand your question properly, may someone else does.There’s no need to specify the destination.

::Hi,
As you Can see here (attached file) perhaps you may understand.
It asked me to choose the partition which is supposed to be used for the concerned persistant place.
The USB has nous free Space and I do not want to save it on the sda partition on which there is another functional distribution.I forgot to tell you I installed this Antrix on the USB by using the dd command Line. I do not if it is a part of the problem or not.
I also tried to remaster the installed Antrix. And it displayed for all Line there is not enough Space available to write each New file. Then I supposed it did not worked.
I am pretty sure I will turn to this distribution but have first to evaluate if it support the programs (like belgian idendity card reader, eid) I need to use.
Thank you for your help.

::Yes, if you created the stick with the dd-command it’s not writeable at all.
Afaik you can use the live-usb-maker-program of a running live-system to create a stick with persistence (by choosing the full-featured-mode),
if you have a second stick.It’s in control-centre-> storage media -> Live usb maker GUIMay 17, 2019 at 10:48 pm #21773MemberMiguipda
::Ok,
Then I installed it with the Linux USB creator.
As you Can see here in attachement it still does not allow me to select (inverse video mode in blue bacground) the USB as destination for the persistent_all. You Can see now this USB partition does display 0 as Free Space but well ? as Free Space. And this partition as previously dos not have its own number to ne selected. The number 1) include both partitions. I means thé HDD on the computer and the USB partition except this last is considered as unselectable due to its inversed video color.
Then how could I ne sure it will use my USB as default destination of the persistant updates ?
Thank you.

::And by considering it should perhaps need a remastering before applying some New installations I discovered those two points :
1) remaster icon is no more available on the control panel as shown on your video I saw on YouTube. It is in the menu under Applications-System tools.
2) as I used this un command Line with sudo because thé GUI from the menu told me it is in read-only I get the same answer with the sudo remaster.sh. It seems to means using the recommanded Live USB Creator tool does not solve a part of the problem.Thank you.

::I believe the dd command will wipe the entire disk, unable to make a partition (I don’t know if u could achieve what u want using flags). Maybe you would like to use gparted to check the available space into it, even resize if its possible.
This is a signature.

I’m sorry you have having so much trouble. It sounds like you created the live-usb with a tool that does not allow you to use all of our live-usb features. We have no control over the various live-usb creation tools. We have tried to be as compatible with them as possible so you can at least boot our system when you use these tools but almost none of them allow you to use all of our extensive live features.
We provide a tool called “live-usb-maker” that will make a full featured live-usb that will allow you to do what you are requesting. Here are 3 different ways you can use it to create a live-usb:
1) If you have a 2nd usb-stick available then boot your current live-usb. After it has booted, plug in the 2nd usb-stick and run live-usb-maker. It will give you an option to “clone this live system”. Select that option and it will make a full featured live-usb on the 2nd live-usb stick. You will be able to enable persistence normally on this new live-usb.
2) If you don’t have a 2nd usb-stick available but you do have some other Linux system then you can download live-usb-maker from my repos. You need to first install the “git” program if it is not already installed. Then run:
git clone https://github.com/BitJam/live-usb-maker git clone https://github.com/BitJam/cli-shell-utils cd live-usb-maker sudo ./live-usb-maker -f $ISO_FILE"where $ISO_FILE is the iso file you want to make the live-usb from.
3) If neither of these solution are good for you then as a last resort, you could order an antiX live-usb from OSDisc. They use our live-usb-maker tool to make their MX and antiX live-usbs so you will be assured to have all of our live features available.
I hope at least one of these methods work for you.

::Hi,
I tried the point 2) and received this error when I used the sudo ./live-usb-maker command Line.“Could not find library cli-shekl-utils.bash on path /home/username/cli-shell-utils:/use/local/lib/cli-shell-utils”
Take note I followed the github installation for the cli-shell-utils. Then I do not understand why I received this error and I do not know how to solve it.
Thank you for your help.
Have a nice day.

::It works fine here using the git commands copy-and-pasted from my post. It has also worked for many other people. My wild guess is there was a network problem when you tried to clone the cli-shell-utils repo.
After doing the git clones I ran the du command to see what was downloaded:
$ du -sch live-usb-maker cli-shell-utils 1.2M live-usb-maker 2.7M cli-shell-utils 3.9M totalHere is the output from when I did the git clone commands:

Also, it is essential that you follow the direction as I gave them. If you run the git clone commands in different directories then it’s not going to work.
