During my never ending quest for lighter applications, I found a clipboard manager that has about half the RAM footprint that Clipit has, and is available fom 64 and 32 bits- Parcellite – it’s development seems to be stalled, but it also seems to be “feature perfect”, and very well localized (homepage: http://parcellite.sourceforge.net/)

The current parcellite code does contain bugs/quirks, and it provides several non-ideal frilly features. FWIW, I had reworked clipit as “clipski”, but antiX repositories are not carrying the (several) requisite gtk2 library packages necessary for its use. A copy of the source code may be in my gitlab repo; if not, I can upload it if you’re interested in test driving clipski.

FWIW I use “diodon”. It seems to work fine…
