It took me quite a while to find out, that ‘%f’ is needed.
Open /home/ ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini with an editor and add these lines:
[Settings] gtk-print-preview-command = qpdfview %f
Now print preview should be working for geany, abiword, …

I didn’t use this feature in antiX anymore because it never worked with my HP printer.
Now everything works fine.
Thank you for this tip and trick.
I hope this will be changed by the developers in the next ISO antix22.
