I cannot reproduce this. Can anyone else?
I tried stretch, buster, testing and sid versions of antiX.Dave suggests editing desktop-menu file in /usr/local/bin (as root):
Changing the line (c276) from
open((USER_HOME+”/”+Var.Conf_Dir+”/”+Var.App_File), ‘w’).close()
to the slightly longer
text = file((USER_HOME+”/”+Var.Conf_Dir+”/”+Var.App_File), “w”)
text.close()Seems to correct the issue.

If I try to install a package with apt from an error …
I add that the same error is identical on two machines that I have installed Antix.Thanks

The indentation is also incorrect. Needs to be spaced (with spaces not tab) till it is 4 spaces in past else: in line with the “:”.

I have the same issue but not in Italian. This duplicate menu exists only in Fluxbox and IceWM. What is interesting is that the lower menu contains the programs that were user installed and that came with the distribution. The upper menu contains only the programs that came with the distribution. The JWM menu contains only one menu but holds only the programs that came with the distribution. I attempted the root alteration of the menu file but to no avail. This issue definitely arrived with the desktop update that I installed today.
