I am having problems with the new Palemoon browser version 28 where in the Preference box is non functional. Here is the discussion on the Palemoon forum: Here
I am wondering if it is my installation of antiX 17 32 bit that is interacting with Palemoon which is creating the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to investigate and solve this?
Thanks

::Does it show any hints to run palemoon from terminal and then go to preferences?
Is this the non-sse2 version you are using ?
Did you try the tarball-version 32-bit, which does not need to be installed, like Tokia mentioned on the Palemoon forum, with the same errors ?64-bit PM-v28 is running good here, don’t have any 32-bit installation in time.

That post hits the mark when nasties from the internet infect your browser home profile.
I have done the same when my browser install becomes hinky/broke.
Because of some browser visit mistake or addon mistake of mine.Probably why you are the only one experiencing this problem when others are not.
Because I looked over here.

::Some addons can certainly break things especially when users install some addon/web-extension that’s not that well written.

::I am happy to report that the problem has been solved by Spacy on the Palemoon forum. Here is the solution:
In “about:config” find “browser.preferences.animateFadeIn”, set as true. Problem solved!
