      Hi there !

I have an old MSI Wind U100 I am revamping to donate it to the less fortunate and came across a problem (maybe two)
Connman does not recognize the wifi card although the same kernel modules (concernig wifi) as in Antix 17 are loaded.
WiCD in Antix 17 has no problems with it but Connman does not see the RTL8187SE.

Is there a way to make this work ? I tried uninstalling Connman and installing WiCD – WiCD sees the wifi card but the connection does not really work.

On the other hand, the U100 has a 1024×600 resolution and Connman’s window is bigger but not resizable. After entering the wifi password I have to press [tab] 4 times, press one time

      and then enter

Thanks a lot for any help.

      Cheers from Peru,
      Erich

Maybe try Alt+ right click & drag, to see the rest of the screen, or else, right click the top bar & set it to full screen, it should resize to fit.

Connnman, on the other hand, does seem to be temperamental, (I also saw problems with my HP G-62). If you open the network manager, & click disconnect, & then connect, it usually worked for me.

        Linux (& BSD) since 1999

Thanks for the swift reply, fatmac.

I could not disconnect, because the wireless adapter was not present in connman.

BUT I installed connman-gtk and there was the slide-button to activate wifi (it was hardware-wise active but not for the system) and then configuration was normal.

So – I am not sure why the gtk UI worked and the QT one did not, but this is sure a workaround.

          Thanks again for your help.
I like antiX very much so far. I was familiar with iceWM and fluxbox and have been using GNU/Linux (mostly Debian derivatives) on and off since 2002

          Cheers !
