[SOLVED] Problem with Space Fluxbox

Hello again!

I was messing about with antiX-21 to see how things work (and what doesn’t work so well). I like having a few desktop icons for things I like doing all the time. SO, I tried to a session with Space Fluxbox. That didn’t go too well! I could not bring up the main menu. Not from the bar or desktop with a right click in any event.

Is there a hot-key shortcut sort of thing for bringing up the main menu in a Space Fluxbox session? Or is there somewhere I can look that up? Thanks in advance!

Mod1 r :RootMenu

I’m guessing that is Alt+r

Its from the Fluxbox keys file. Menu >> Control Centre >> Desktop tab >> Edit Fluxbox settings

BobC already showed a workaround, but just for the record a “workaround” isn’t necessary.

Per the default spacefm settings, right mouse clicks are grabbed and the spacefm actions menu is displayed, but…..

from “Desktop” tab in the spacefm Preferences toolbar, you can enable the option “Right click shows WM menu” and the fluxbox [[[ or icewm or other window manager ]]] menu will be displayed when you click the right mouse button while hovering an empty spot on the spacefm managed desktop.

Hi iznit!

That worked pretty good too. It took me a little longer to figure that one out (I’ve only had two cups of coffee this morning), but it works. So that gives me a second way to make sure I can access the WM menu! Woo hoo!
