Hello. My proposal is to slim AntiX Core to absolute minimum that there are only the essentials required to run the system and base drivers, including tools to configure networking (also wireless).
Currently, there are many packages and libraries with only take the space in the ISO and in memory after starting up a system from burned out USB stick (average: about 1 GB)

::Get on with it…
Same goes for Rebasing, alternative inits.
Your propositions would all further burden antiX devs, helpers testers in the community, while you sit back and watch….
This reply was modified 1 month, 1 week ago by Xunzi_23.

::Did you experiment with the system?
What were you able to remove without breaking the live-USB capabilities?If you slim down the Core, provide a re-spin and you create (and maintain) a meta-package to install all the stuff in current antiX Core, then your re-spin could be easily augmented by installing the aforementioned meta-package.
Providing guarantee to do that, would make such a proposal worth consideration in my humble opinion (but of course, the developers may disagree).October 26, 2023 at 9:04 am #121748Forum Adminanticapitalista
::We already provide a net version
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::@mcgiwer, you are looking for the antiX net installer.
You may want to take time to explore antiX’s forum and website. Use googles “site:antixforum.com” for the forum search feature is very rudimentary. Also, search the archive to understand context on some subjects at antixforum.com/archive. There are some gems in the archive. (RIP skidoo)
