Forum for users of antiX Linux. Mean and Lean and Proudly anti-fascist.
Hi friends!
My system:
Kernel: 4.9.200-antix.1-amd64-smp x86_64
bits: 64
Desktop: IceWM 1.6.3+git20191202
Distro: antiX-19.1_x64-full Marielle Franco 23 December 2019
I installed Pulseaudio via antiX Package Installer. If I open it thru Menu -> Applications -> Multimedia -> Pulseaudio Volume Control, I get stuck with the message:
Establishing connection to Pulseaudio. Please wait.
Any suggestions?

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
Ok I’ll try that. I noticed you said in that thread that alsa is better? The reason I’m using pulseaudio is because my desktop computer doesn’t have a speaker and I’m too cheap to buy one, so I use my cellphone as a speaker with the help of an app called soundwire. However soundwire seems to need pulseaudio installed.
Anyway I’ll try your fix from that thread.
Thank you
