I recently acquired some QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB Adapters.
They work with my Ubuntu 20.04 system and my Raspberry PI systems.
They are not working with my Anti-X systems.
I think that I found the problem. I have been trying to use a very cheap USB hub. The type that is a blob of plastic with a USB plug on a wire coming out of one end and 4 USB sockets each on their own wire. Commonly given away for promotions.
They seem to work for keyboards mice and small USB thumb drives, but do not provide power for USB adapters.
I tried the QinHeng USB adapter today with a direct connection to the USB adapter and this time it appears to be working.
