Hi,
my work-station suffers from random freezes, occasional restarts.
1) Confirmed not to be antiX specific, the freezes also occur in Fedora installed in dual boot.
2) BIOS has been recently upgraded (some information on the internet suggested old[er] BIOS being the issue).
3) Expecting the cause likely being HW-related (also suggested by local IT department).
4) Memory (that was free) tested via ‘memtester’ (few loops only); issue not detected.
5) Power supply is the next candidate.Questions:
Q1) Do you have any other ideas what could be the issue?
Q2) Is there a way how to monitor power-supply from within antiX (best with “logging”, e.g. via a BASH script)?
‘lm-sensors’ does not output the desired info.
This Debian page does not provide straightforward information neither.

::There was a problem with ryzen boxes especially freezing during idle.The solution is a certain setting in the bios.
You have to find the ” Power Supply Idle Control ” settings in bios and set it from “auto” to “Typical Current Idle”

::Hi, I’ve searched the web and found the BIOS issues; in some cases, a simple upgrade has resolved the issue completely.
Sometimes, modifying the setting (not present in all the BIOS versions) was necessary.
Did not look into the BIOS after the upgrade, though.

::OK, I tried, current kernel is linux-headers-5.10.*-antix.1-amd64-smp and it seems to have worked.
An additional change was performed by local IT department which I did not track and thus I cannot say whether it helped to solve the problem. -
