yesterday i installed Antix to my really old laptop and it brought it back to life better than when it was new ony one problem can not work out how to download programs such as meda cloud,or the drivers for my brother printer HELP PLEASE!

I do not know offhand where to find the software you are looking for or if (for certain) there are Linux implementations for them.
If you find .deb packages for them anywhere, chances are reasonable that they will work. Otherwise, a tar file, .rpm package, or other Linux format can be used and converted to Debian .deb format.
(I have occasionally used the “alien” tool to convert packages to .deb format).
Use a search engine to locate the software and read any information given to see what hardware and software they support.

For the brother printer start with this side
http://support.brother.com/g/b/productsearch.aspx?c=eu_ot&lang=en&content=dl
choose your printer, search the linux(deb) like already mentioned above (maybe better tell us which printer you want to install)
download the Driver Install Tool
With the download a side opens with a “How to install”You have to open a terminal and type in
cd Downloads
and so on
