      Hi All

      My new OS: antix 21 64bit
      My File Manager: zzzFM
      My Desktop environment: IceWM
      Theme: Sunnyday-Large
      Software Version: VNC-Server-6.10.0-Linux-x64.deb or VNC-Server-6.10.0-Linux-x64-ANY

      PROBLEM
      If you have been having problems with trying to connect to the RealVNC server that you have recently installed on your OS. And you keep getting the following errors when running the VNC Server gui:
      VNC server security settings not configured
      Authentication scheme not supported

      THE SOLUTION (topic – No Authentication Schemes Configured)
      https://help.realvnc.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/5313103951517-No-Authentication-Schemes-Configured

      1)
      sudo vncpasswd -service
      Setting “Password” VNC parameter for Service Mode server
      Password:
      Verify:
      Successfully set “Password” VNC parameter in /root/.vnc/config.d/vncserver-x11

      2)
      sudo pico /root/.vnc/config.d/vncserver-x11
      adding the following to the end of the file
      Authentication=VncAuth
      Ctrl o
      Enter
      Ctrl x

      3)
      sudo /etc/init.d/vncserver-x11-serviced restart

      4)
      Service should be connectable from a RealVNC reader/viewer (VNC-Viewer-6.22.515-Linux-x64.deb) and in my case it is!

      TIPS

      i) Check the port vnc server is listening on
      sudo netstat -ap | grep vnc
      Output:
      tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5999 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 6466/vncserver-virt
      tcp 0 0 antix2.home:37586 165.254.191.196:https ESTABLISHED 8817/vncserver-x11-
      tcp6 0 0 [::]:5999 [::]:* LISTEN 6466/vncserver-virt
      udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5999 0.0.0.0:* 6466/vncserver-virt
      udp6 0 0 [::]:5999 [::]:* 6466/vncserver-virt

      ii) Set your RealVNC server to startup with boot process
      dpkg –list | grep vnc #[will only pick up package installed from VNC-Server-6.10.0-Linux-x64.deb file]
      or
      apt list | grep vncserver #[will only pick up package installed from VNC-Server-6.10.0-Linux-x64.deb file]
      sudo update-rc.d vncserver-x11-serviced defaults

      sudo update-rc.d vncserver-virtuald defaults

      Restart your PC, RealVNC server should automatically startup with booting
