      Recovery Utilities
      From iznit, original (removed URL)
      https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/are-you-finding-a-tool-that-recovers-your-lost-important-data/
This debian package has recovery utilities
      sudo apt install testdisk
then read the manuals for the utilities

      man fidentity
      man testdisk
      man photorec

The utilities above may yield success, but if not….. you can

      sudo apt install sleuthkit
This package will install several manpages utilities, but it may be easier to learn what utilities are included by visiting this online documentation http://www.sleuthkit.org/sleuthkit/man/

Also, a gui for the sleuthkit utilities is available but I have not used this.
      sudo apt install autopsy
Also, here is link for the sleuthkit support forum https://sleuthkit.discourse.group/

With R-Linux it is good to select “show deleted empy folders” from programs settings.

Be aware, that recovery, even with these recovery utilities is not generally possible with SSDs that perform trim immediately on files/directories that you delete. Backup of any essential files/directories is important with these drives.
