Linuxdaddy, eu instalei novamente o antiX 21 Full de 32 bits com o Kernel 4.4.0-296 no computador com a placa-mãe ECS 865PE-A rev 1.2 15-H70-01120 e a placa de vídeo GeForce4 MX 440 AGP 8x.
As etapas que eu fiz do seu tutorial que funcionaram neste computador foram:
1 – Eu apliquei os comandos no terminal “$ sudo apt update” e “$ sudo apt upgrade”.
2 – Depois, eu criei o arquivo “nouveau.conf” com o usuário root na pasta “/etc/modprobe.d/”.
3 – Abri o arquivo “nouveau.conf” e colei os textos “blacklist fbdev” e “blacklist nvidiafb” em linhas diferentes e um texto embaixo do outro.
Eu reinicializei o computador e obtive a resolução 1024×768.

Linuxdaddy, I re-installed antiX 21 Full 32-bit with Kernel 4.4.0-296 on computer with ECS 865PE-A rev 1.2 15-H70-01120 motherboard and GeForce4 MX 440 AGP 8x graphics card.
The steps I made from your tutorial that worked on this computer were:
1 – I applied the commands in the terminal “$ sudo apt update” and “$ sudo apt upgrade”.
2 – Then I created the file “nouveau.conf” with the root user in the folder “/etc/modprobe.d/”.
3 – I opened the file “nouveau.conf” and pasted the texts “blacklist fbdev” and “blacklist nvidiafb” in different lines and one text under the other.
I rebooted the computer and got 1024×768 resolution.
$ inxi -G
