What’s the best way to remove JVM, Fluxbox and Herbstflut from an INSTALLED Antix?

I know that one can remove the stuff over Synaptic or “sudo apt-get purge XYZ” but, the reason why I’m asking here is that Antix has some additional stuff related to those environments. For example, after updating, iceWM, JVM and Fluxbox menus are getting automatically updated, then there is “Update Menu” in start menu and some shortcuts in “Control Center” which open the configuration and so on.

The idea would be to remove everything related to JVM, Fluxbox and Herbstflut and keep only the iceWM.

I would also like to remove the following, for me unneeded stuff:

      Configure Persistance
      Install AntiX
      Live-usb kernel updater
      Remaster
      Save Persistance Changes
      Set up Persistance
      Snapshot (ISO Remaster)

These things are fine on Live USB but, once installed I don’t need them any more.

sudo apt-get purge snapshot won’t do it. 😉

      Thanks for the reply!

        This will get you started.

        apt-get purge jwm desktop-defaults-jwm-antix fluxbox desktop-defaults-fluxbox-antix herbstluftwm desktop-defaults-hlwm-antix

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Kyle, ala “KernelUltras”, has posted to github a script + notes for removing from antiX17 all WMs except iceWM
          LegacyIce-antiX

The script for automating these tasks is here: https://github.com/KERNELULTRAS/LegacyIce-antiX/blob/master/antiX-17/legacyice.sh

I used anticapitalista way and the rest did:

            sudo apt-get purge iso-snapshot-antix iso-template-antix live-boot-docs-antix live-init-antix live-kernel-updater remaster-antix

            sudo apt-get autoremove

            It worked fine.

            Thanks!
