Can’t seem to get apps that need root password to accept it.
I tried resetting it as in this thread
      I Actually forgot my password
It tells me the password has been successfully changed but when I log on and use the new password, it doesn’t work!
      Any hints would be helpful!

Normally, if you use a program that needs root level authority, antiX asks you for your user password to authorize that action. So if your root & user passwords are different, that may be why it’s incorrect.

You aren’t trying to login as “root” are you? When you login it should be your user password. Then when the security pop up comes on screen it is usually asking for the root password. Check caps lock, etc.

No. Thanks for the input, I’ve managed to open apps as root using the old password. Don’t know what happened there!

Thanks for the input – it seems that my old root password is now working for some reason! Bizarre!
