Not for the first time Samsung has released an SSD with a destructive firmware defekt.
This time round the 990 Pro SSD is showing rapid dardware decline.
Should anyone be unlucky enough to own one better not do a firmware update, the device has already
sufferred non reversible damage. Warranty claim the drive,
you paid a premium price and should get premium service.
But
Instead of recalling and replacing damaged devices Samsung wants to cheap out, not for the first time.
A firmware update stops the further accelerated decline of 990 Pro health.
It doesn’t fix the hardware damage that has already occurred.
