        A user
        assigning to scrot note a font of choice involves
        creating a link to the font;
        paste the simply-named new font link into /usr/local/share/fonts/

        use the variable name CHARACTER equal the name of the link file.
        With all the font links placed into the same folder [/usr/local/share/fonts/], CHARACTER is the file name, not the full path.
        Just did this with two fonts that did not work with full path to /usr/share/fonts/…
        A simple-name link into /usr/local/share/fonts/ has them working with scrot note command.
        example CHARACTER link files textnscrUU.ttf, textnscr.otf.
        they make Ubuntu and B612 fonts function in scrot note option command.
        Do the same with Your favorite fonts for one and two; call it light and call it medium.

              I try to write things so they work like people would expect, or even better, like they would wish for.

              My opinion is that’s going to confuse people.

              But you are welcome to make programs work how you would like them to.
