      The code below is from old MX forum thread about taking a screenshot of the logon screen

      #!/bin/bash
      chvt 7
      sleep 5s
      DISPLAY=:0 XAUTHORITY=/var/run/lightdm/root/:0 xwd -root -out ~/screenshot.xwd
      convert ~/screenshot.xwd ~/screenshot.png
      rm ~/screenshot.xwd

      But for starters antiX users slim not lightdm as we all know just get error message about can not convert .xwd etc

      Then see somewhere about F11 not working ether.

      This is being done for the logon screen then dropping into tty with ctrl alt F1 or F2 logging in as user then running ./screenshot.sh goes back to login screen but no screen is taken.

      Can someone help with this please..

        Why not logout (this takes you to the login screen) and press F11 (screenshot is saved in root foder)

        Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

        antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

          Sorry I was going about it the wrong way had to open root as root then I saved it to home. Thanks Boss

          I made a green theme from BlueLines with missTELL edited for 19 and changed the wallpaper to suit i3.

            You can edit this line in /etc/slim.conf to a directory of you choosing eg from root to /home/your username)

            # Executed when pressing F11 (requires scrot)
            screenshot_cmd      scrot /root/slim.png

              One of the first files I edit after installing antiX but this was one line I completely missed in this file. As from below password only 🙂
              screenshot_cmd scrot /home/koo/slim.png
              focus_password yes
              default_user koo
              current_theme i3
