Very good, but there should be an info box that you can select section from screen using a mouse.

Nice Implantation, you should also add option to take regular screenshots or window screenshot.
Also you should also add an exit at the end.

scrot $NAME
scrot -u $NAME 

As @RJP said you should also add info box before selecting the area, Like I did in my script.
