      Hi,
is use a virtual machine with antix. It’s running great so far. One little problem is the occurance of displaced desktop symbols and conky app. This has to do with the system resolution. I tried to fix it, but was to complicated.
i managed to bypass the problem by restarting my fluxbox seassion via the fluxbox menu.
To symblfy this task i would like to create a script on the destop so that i just have to klick the file to reset my desktop.
Can you tell how to create this script?

Option 1. in /usr/share/applications/antix copy the desktop-session-exit.desktop file to your desktop. When executing it (by clicking) you then choose “Restart Session”.
Option 2. Create your own script (be it a .sh script or a .desktop file) that executes
        desktop-session-exit -R

Solution 2 is the one i searched 🙂

Ok, i created created the .sh file. But if i doubleclick it it’s opened in my editor. How do i create an executeable .sh file? I don’t wanna start it via terminal.

            Step by step guide:
            1. Create a new file and name it (for example “Restart Session.sh”)
            2. Open it with any text editor (for example, geany)
            3. Write this into the file:

            #!/bin/bash
            desktop-session-exit -R

            4. Save and close the text editor.
            5. Right-click the Restart-session.sh file and make the file executable. Depending on your File Manager:
5.1 If using ROX filer, select “Properties” and then tick the option under Exec for the file owner
5.2 If using SpaceFM, select “Info” and in the Permissions tab of the new window, tick under “Execute” for the file owner.

Hit OK and it should be done. every time you double click the file you will be executing the script.

You could also make a .desktop file and place that on the desktop to avoid using an additional script. Either manually or through add-desktop (I think menu-manager also makes .desktop files) If you use desktop-session-exit -R in the executable line.
