      Is it possible?

      I can choose a WM.
      I can logon.
      How do I logoff if I need to?

        I don’t understand. Doesn’t the “Exit Session” method give the option to logoff?

          You bet it does! No problem there.
          However, suppose I boot my system and at the login screen I decide/need to “get-out-of-town”. How do I shutdown the system then?

          Or – if I’ve loged off from the screen you show, and decide to shutdown, what then?

            You’ve got to get in to get out…

            or press the power button shortly.

              You mean to say that at the login screen, I don’t need to shut the system down gracefully? Surely there’s `slim’ running at the very least?

                Yes, it’s possible to shutdown from login screen in slimski.
                For shutdown enter halt as the username
                For reboot enter reboot as username

                  @caprea Outstanding! Thx. I knew there had to be a way out but could not find the docs. Thanks again!

                    Didn’t work for me!
                    Tried them both!
                    username=halt then password
                    username=reboot then password

                    No Joy! Is there some obscure setting that needs to be tweaked before this can work?

                      Works here on antiX19 and 21
                      Might your problem is that halt and reboot require root password.Sorry I forgot to mention this.
                      antiX21 uses slimski, you can look for information at
                      man slimski

                        Worked like a charm using root passwd.
                        I should have figured that out myself though! Thx again!!
