      Hi, I’m using antiX 21.

I’m having trouble entering the Login and Password.
Slimski’s screen is high resolution and doesn’t show full screen for typing.
How do I configure Slimski to get the screen smaller?

      Thanks!

Have you tried changing the theme in [antiX Control Centre]->[Session]->[Login Manager]?

Sorry. You can’t login, so you can’t get to Control Centre. Stoopid me 🙁

Login in via console and modify the file /etc/slimski.local.conf
I use SunnyDay as the current_theme

For logging in you might can type your username blindly, press enter and type your password blindly, press enter.
Afterwards one way is to change the slimski theme to one where the input fields are already in the middle of the screen, like already said by afghan.

If you have a preferred theme, you can also try to play with the x and y settings in that theme.
x means the position from left to right and y from up to down.
This can be done by editing as root for eg.the theme named antiX
            /usr/share/slimski/themes/antiX/slimski.theme

The input-field is declined by input_panel, might set it to

             input_panel_x 50%
             input_panel_y 60%

You sure also have to change the xy coordinates for the session_type and the F1 message fields.
            Have fun!
I’m not aware of the possibility to change the resolution for the whole screen.

may be I suggest something that is not relevant to this question.
When I use laptop with 11″ screen, in order to fill in the fields, or to posh the button “ok”, I position the mouse everywhere in the windows, then pushing ALT + mouse-click, I can move the window up and down, where I want.
Does it apply to this situation?

It should not, cause slimski knows nothing about a mouse.
