      Just curious, was there a reason to leave newer kernel 5.10 exclusively for the “Full” version?

        ISO size. If you include both kernels in the antiX base ISO, it is probably going over 1 GB size. To keep base size low, only the most compatible kernel (as in compatible with the greatest number of machines) is included.
