      Dear all,

I have two (other…) answers please. And I hope you’ll be able to help me:
      – first, it appears that the Bluetooth service of my netbook works, but there is no GUI / no applet: what package could you advise me (blueman?) please ? With USB, the connexion works: mount android phone via mtp.
      – then, with another computer running Mint, I also appreciate to use my phone (Android 7.0) as a modem (with USB): I would like to do the same with antiX, but I don’t know how to do that please.

      Finally, thank you.

      Best regards,

With USB, you can open Wicd settings and change eth0 to usb0 and refresh. The USB should show up as a wired device. (given that the interface is actually usb0) otherwise ceni should detect it if the phone is setup for sharing and plugged in.

I set my samsung s7 edge like so. My phone contract is with Verizon. You should google your phone and carrier for steps needed like I show.

            https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-203731/

Once I get past trust this device to access my phone screen popup. In AntiX I open a terminal and do

            sudo ifconfig -a

I find my phone name there. Put that in wicd wireless preferences. Hit the refresh button. I use the password supplied by my section in my phone for the popup that says that connection requires a password.

            WPA2 PSK

            Password
            Note Password can be changed.
            Show password
Note Enabled when a check mark is present.

I put it in the “key” box under properties button of that phone connection that is showing. Go back to where my phone shows in Wicd. Hit connect button.

That gives me internet by a campfire in the middle of the desert.

              Transferring my files. I use

              $ apt-cache policy gmtp
              gmtp:
                Installed: 1.3.7-1
                Candidate: 1.3.7-1
                Version table:
               *** 1.3.7-1 0
                      500 http://ftp.gr.debian.org/debian/ jessie/main i386 Packages
                      100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

If using my usb charging cable. If online. without a cable. On my phone I installed

              https://www.airdroid.com/

I open the app and login to the site on my phone first to access my files. Then in AntiX I go to the site and login again on my laptop. Then start transferring files over the internet.

Another way if I cared to do so. I could pull my added 64 gig micro sd card out of my phone. Insert the moiro sd card into a sd to micro adapter. Plug it into my sd card slot in my laptop.Tranfer files when Spacefm or Rox Filke manager opens up automatically when I plug the card in while running.

When I had my IPHONE 5. I used email like so to transfer files to AntiX.
