@anticapitalista – while casually browsing the web at lunch time I noticed that smtube is now at version 21.10. The 32bits adn 64bits .deb packages are available from their site at https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Asmplayerdev&package=smtube

I tested the 64bits version and it runs fine in antiX 21, no problems while installing it

The only real change I got was that pop up warning that always comes up on the bottom of the window every time I opened smtube, no longer appears.

For user that have computers with so low specs that they can’t really stream Youtube videos, smtube can stream videos without adds, on any device (you can set the default resolution that the media player uses to display the video). Even extremely slow devices can stream youtube videos using mpv via smtube, using the pre set resolution that your device can handle- most computers in existence should be able to stream videos in 360p (or higher res) just fine. If yours doesn’t, set it to use a lower video resolution…

      P.

Went ahead and installed the 64 bit debian .deb in my antiX 22 chromebook full iso install.

Seems to work fine here also without the previous pop ups.
