I have a problem in live usb in uefi mode: startx don’t launch.

I have tested the boot entry x64-full Failsafe in advanced option menu. Works fine!

So, i have modified my customized entry to keep the persistance:

      Key e
      Add failsafe and bootsave:
linux /antix/vmlinuz quiet splasht disable=lxF failsafe bootsave …
      and F10.
      solved.

But I have not tested the upgrade of the kernel …

      Windows off line

Failsafe is good when you cannot get to a graphical interface, but make sure the USB ports work after using this boot option. Sometimes it disables important part of acpi, so it may not be ideal.

I think the ideal thing would be to have more custom boot entries in the menu for each case. If you are planning to use this USB to boot antiX from different machines, I would keep the failsafe boot option separate so that the ones that were working OK with the default custom option would still boot using their ideal graphic driver.

For when you install the new kernel, remember to remaster and then use the “Live USB kernel Update” to switch the live kernel to the new kernel.
