        Like I stated in the original post, I’m still not sure what is causing this action, whether it is a bug or an interference problem between the various downloaded programs from the repos, or if I got a bad download over my ISP (which caused other problems before). But as I said, when it happens, simply go to the alsamixer and check to see if the speaker is muted or if is connected to the headphones when they are not plugged in.
