Split: AntiX on Asus eee PC

I’ve tried AntiX 17.5, which can fit on a 4 GB SD card (detects all right), but it won’t get the display resolution right (it’s 800×480, while the installer only offers 640×480). Also, when I run the installer, no disks are available for selection even though both the SSD and the SD card are detected by GParted. Anybody in the know? I don’t want live mode. I’ve also tried to instal on a 16 GB SD card, but the installer freezes upon its insertion.

I don’t get it. AntiX is supposed to be basic, yet it’s the basic stuff that isn’t workin’.

I always thought antiX is too good to be true :-))

Your post is extremely confusing, you could follow help and sensible advice from thread #89036
and with a little time and effort get a working installation..

SOLUTION FOUND: AntiX base 19_2_1 386 instals fine. Quite a bit slower than Windows XP and even 7, though.
