      For those interested:

      1) Regarding Firefox ESR: this week, as advertised on Mozilla’s Firefox pages, Firefox 91.7.0ESR is now current.

      2) Firefox Release Version is now 98.0 as of Tuesday.
      3) Firefox Beta Version is 99.0b2.
      4) Firefox Nightly is 100.a1.

Waterfox, an independent derivative of Firefox with a different rendering engine and an independent development, now has a G4.0.8 version this week as an alternative.

I stumbled upon an interesting link concerning privacy and how to improve it if you manually download the FireFox from mozilla:
        https://www.ghacks.net/2022/03/17/each-firefox-download-has-a-unique-identifier/

@sybok, thanks, as usual for ghacks the linked article is informative and understandable.

          Inspired by mozilla and facebook:
Have a howto in preparation which uses UFW (frontend to IP tables) for blocking
IP addresses either individually or as a range. Due DNS over HTTPS usage growing
the /etc/hosts is becoming less effective in annoyance blocking or worse privacy protection.

Blocking connections to Mozilla servers seems more effective than trying to keep up with
monthly config changes and fresh privacy invasions.

Users please do remember: when we download through the distro we all have the same UUID
but install time, font enumeration, screen size, geolocation, language and installed plugins
may well make the individual browser unique. Panopticlick from EFF gives useful insights.
